Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Missouri
  • Must have a current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
  • Must successfully pass background checks including criminal, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint screening
  • Strong communication and documentation skills (written and electronic)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to collaborate, learn, and adapt in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to clients via oral, injection, or self-administration methods based on service line protocols
  • Conduct physical and mental health assessments, including psychiatric screeners
  • Provide one-on-one support and build trusted relationships with clients
  • Collaborate with providers by staging refill requests and addressing client medication needs
  • Room clients, verify medical histories, and complete preliminary physical tasks (vitals, samples)
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all nursing care and interventions
  • Oversee medication counts, monitor refills, and prepare pass medications for housing clients
  • Act as a resource for medical questions, infectious disease control, and facility health issues
  • Assist with general lab and phlebotomy tasks as needed
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to team efforts across the care continuum
