The Recovery vendor management team oversees third-party vendors that are responsible for recovering outstanding debts, ensuring compliance and maximizing recovery rates. They a responsible for the full vendor lifecycle-onboarding, performance via KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), risk mitigation and contract compliance. The team engages consistently with risk, legal, compliance and various audit teams. The Recovery Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Responsibilities: Leads a team responsible for oversight and performance execution of a variety of third‑party recovery vendors including, but not limited to, collection agencies, law firms, probate and BK vendors. This role also manages supporting teams including Vendor Invoicing and the Trial Witness team. Build team capability through coaching, structured development plans, training, and succession planning. Drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong financial outcomes Partner with Compliance, Operational Risk, Legal, Audit, and Quality teams to strengthen controls and oversee end‑to-end vendor risk. Document and maintain governance routines, including issue management support and regulatory response support. Deliver executive‑ready presentations, performance analytics, and strategic updates to senior leadership. Represent recovery vendor management in cross‑functional initiatives and enterprise programs. Manages multiple teams or a functional area supporting a large complex loan recovery operation Manages multiple segments of a large nonperforming portfolio staffed by managers & unit supervisors Controls financial end results of an area Controls resources, policy formulation and planning.
