Recovery Coaches (RCs) are individuals currently in recovery who have lived experience with substance use and/or co-occurring mental health challenges and have been trained to help individuals with a similar experience to gain hope, explore their own recovery pathway, and achieve their life goals. The RC will be a part of a multidisciplinary team including a recovery support navigator, medical staff, clinicians, and prescribers in the CBHC. Additionally, the RC will potentially need to coordinate with external providers for cohesive care to ensure the persons goals are met. The RC will provide education to persons engaged in services but may also utilize their own recovery experience and knowledge with the entire treatment team.
