About The Position

Bridges Healthcare, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Recovery Coach - Mobile MAT and IOP $25.00 per hour Part-time/non-benefited position. 15 hours per week (must be available Mon, Tue and Thu, 9:30-2:30 or 10:00-3:00) PURPOSE and POSITION OVERVIEW Serve as an advocate, through personal experience, to assist individuals in their recovery plan. Enhance and expand access to comprehensive recovery treatment and programs.

Requirements

  • Certificate of completion from a recognized peer/recovery coach program
  • High school diploma / GED
  • Experience with and knowledge of serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders
  • Ability to work flexible schedule/shifts
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
  • CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
  • Willingness to become trained in the administration of naloxone

Responsibilities

  • Willingness to share life experience of positive outcomes from personal recovery
  • Mentor, coach and support individuals in their recovery goals and model successful recovery strategies
  • Assist individuals with identifying strengths and personal resources to aid in their recovery
  • Arrange for follow-up appointments at Bridges and/or alternative agency for individuals
  • Provide next-day outreach/follow up with individuals and with their referral agency
  • Facilitate connection to mutual help programs/meetings for individuals
  • Provide services to identified individuals, including assistance with transportation to referral appointments
  • Serve as liaison with outside services and referral sources
  • Provide individuals with information on how to access assistance with basic needs
  • Drive individuals , using agency vehicles, to and from community sites and/or referral agencies
  • Perform check of vehicles before use and ensured vehicle is fueled at the end of the day
  • Participate in team meetings and other departmental meetings
  • Assist clinicians in substance use therapy groups with toxicology collections, contacting clients, escorting clients in the building, and offering peer support to clients
  • Complete required paper and electronic documentation in a timely manner
  • Provide advocacy and education on treatment barriers and stigma
  • Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor.
