About The Position

Ensure provision of individual, family and group therapy to persons with substance use and behavioral health diagnoses in an outpatient, NYS OASAS outpatient and residential settings, with a special focus on persons with dual diagnoses of behavioral health and substance use disorders.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor, required.
  • Computer skills and experience working with electronic medical records are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Extensive substance use treatment experience, including clinical supervision, required.
  • Must have extensive experience working with substance abuse treatment in an integrated care environment and be comfortable in both individual and group settings.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment providing support to staff from multiple disciplines.
  • Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
  • Able to work in open space floor plan
  • Must be capable to move throughout work day (and follow individuals throughout the community)
  • Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet
  • Must be able to move in tight spaces
  • Occasional lifting of > _25+ pounds

Responsibilities

  • Supervise clinical and non-clinical staff at the OASAS Programs.
  • Evaluate and maintain effective workflows and protocols.
  • Develop, market, implement and monitor the effectiveness of integrated services to support the recovery of persons living with substance use and behavioral health disorders.
  • Ensure there is timely access to Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT).
  • Provide oversight of the processes of psychosocial assessment, treatment and recovery readiness assessment, and treatment outcomes for persons seeking MAT.
  • Oversee the disposition and case assignment of persons seeking substance use treatment and MAT.
  • Provide consultation to care management, housing, PROS and community counseling centers on issues related to MAT and integrated care.
  • Develop and implement yearly quality improvement process that bridges agency corporate plan and MAT related clinical care.
  • Work with psychiatric providers to provide support in their assessment and treatment process in both acute inpatient and ongoing outpatient capacities.
  • Provide treating providers clinical consultation and training on ongoing assessment and treatment.
  • Engage consumers using trauma-informed and person-centered care principles.
  • Directly supervise Joe’s House operations, ensuring the highest quality of services.
  • Assist and support program development, as needed.
  • Become a trainer of Motivational Interviewing and provide ongoing model fidelity supervision for staff.
  • Oversee Narcan training and distribution of Naloxone according to state regulations and agency protocol.
