The Recovery Adjuster is responsible for handling the daily operations within the Recovery Department. Handles insurance claim documents and lender collection information on a daily basis. Works closely with outside vendors to help lead to the recovery of missing / skipped vehicles. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Gathers Info/ Investigates Recovery Files / Update Database Maintains multiple databases by entering customer and account information gathered from our Claim database Verifies document information is correct by reviewing claim documents, title documents and sets up recovery files into Skip databases with correct information within 48 hours of receipt of New Skip Assignment. Oversees own skip portfolio of around 400 skip files daily. Determines when to transfer files to another agent for better recovery results. Promptly responds to vendor requests, Lender emails and recovery inquiries in a professional manner. Answers incoming calls to the Recovery Department and handles as necessary. Meet or exceed all established recovery standards and benchmarks set for the department. Repossessed Vehicle Follow Up / Administrative Duties Responsible for maintaining a 48 hour turn around for NOI (Notice of Intent to Sell) letters to members after the vehicle has been repossessed. Need to process the vehicle title into a repossession title 48 hours after the correct title docs and mileage information is received by giving accurate information to the title vendor assigned for flipping the title. Handle calls from members that may be irate due to the vehicle being repossessed. Being able to explain why the vehicle was repossessed and answer all questions they may have. Able to facilitate a possible Payoff deal with the member to redeem the vehicle. Forward all info to Recovery management for approval. Follow up with Remarketing Manager for correct auction information to set up remarketing assignments with correct vendor assigned. Follow up on repossessed vehicle every 20 days until vehicle has been sold. Vendor Administrative Tasks / Other Duties Handle vendor requests for additional paperwork like Hold Harmless Letters, Payoff Letters or Legal inquiries in a timely and proficient manner. Other duties as assigned.
