The City of Littleton Police Department is seeking a qualified individual to join our Communications and Records team as a Records Technician. As a CALEA-accredited law enforcement agency, we take great pride in our highly trained officers and staff who continually uphold the standards required to maintain full accreditation. Records Technicians perform a wide range of technical and detailed tasks related to police records operations. Responsibilities include reviewing and processing crime and incident reports from Patrol and Investigations for quality control, as well as maintaining the data integrity of the Records Management System. The position also involves ensuring the timely and accurate maintenance and dissemination of police records. This role requires exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to confidentiality standards. Often serving as the first point of contact for Littleton residents, Records Technicians provide customer assistance in person, by phone, and via email. Work is performed under the supervision of the Communications and Records Division Manager and in accordance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a variety of records and a strong understanding of records management policies and best practices. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Hiring range $24.94 - $26.25 per hour This full-time position is non-exempt per FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
