Under the direction of the Assistant Chief of Police or designee, the Records Manager manages, coordinates, and directs the Records Division; responsible for the system operations of both personnel and records management software for the unit. Daily monitoring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as City of Kyle and Kyle Police Department policies and directives governing the dissemination of public information, application of records retention in adherence with state guidelines, and the department's staffing and reporting. Prepares and submits detailed reports for the Police Department and Chief of Police.
