About The Position

Our client is an award winning global integrator. They have a need for a Records Management Specialist. In this role you will leverage experience in records and information management and knowledge of federal records regulations to support daily operations, collaborate with agency leadership and stakeholders, manage records processes, respond to inquiries, fulfill administrative deliverables, and contribute to the development of records management strategies, policies, and program objectives. This opportunity is 100% on-site in Rockville, MD. Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Requirements

  • Must have 3–5 years of experience in records and information management.
  • Must have familiarity with the General Records Schedule, NARA directives, and Federal Records Management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively with agency personnel and contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and categorize records effectively.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling sensitive information, including PII and PHI, is preferred.
  • Understanding of grants and contracts record management is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience using ARCIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lift and move archive boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Partner with the Agency Records Officer and Task Lead to execute daily records management operations and functions.
  • Monitor and respond to records management-related email inquiries.
  • Deliver records management support to all agency staff, including leadership and contract personnel.
  • Complete all required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual administrative deliverables as requested by client and contract leadership.
  • Coordinate records retrieval, transfer, and disposition processes with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on agency records and collaborate with points of contact to assess their value across divisions, offices, centers, and the broader agency.
  • Engage stakeholders as needed to achieve records management objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of records management strategies, policies, procedures, forms, workflows, and program objectives.
