About The Position

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the organization and permanent archiving of laboratory records and ensuring timely, accurate reporting of laboratory test results.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Strong organization skills and legible handwriting are essential.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and keep a high degree of focus even when performing routine tasks.
  • Able to effectively communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.
  • Ability to interact with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.

  • Practical experience working in a cGMP regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the organization and classification of archival records per standard operating procedure to ensure future retrieval.
  • Files documentation and records per established procedures and archives associated test results and documentation.
  • Completes documentation as required by established procedures.
  • Ensures documentation accuracy.
  • Monitors, coordinates, and facilitates off-site storage of laboratory records when necessary.
  • Retrieves laboratory records for internal and external audits.
  • Collects and ensures records are retained for specified time periods, per standard operating procedures.
  • Assists in processing and investigating customer inquiries.
  • Performs required donor deferral entries into the National Donor Deferral Registry, as assigned.
  • Reports manual test results to laboratory customers as necessary.
  • Enters and reports positive and confirmatory test results.
  • Communicates and escalates quality issues to Quality Management as needed.
  • Assures quality customer service to all customers.
  • Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.
  • Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
  • Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
