About The Position

Pinnacle Government Consulting, Inc. is seeking experienced Records and Information Management consultants with a strong background in National Archives Records and Administration (NARA) and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations. The individual in this position will play a pivotal role in administering a DoD Component's Records Management program, ensuring compliance with NARA and DoD requirements as well as other applicable laws and regulations. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and security of records within the DoD framework, and the consultant will be expected to lead various initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the records management processes. The consultant will lead or assist in administering the client's records management application (RMA), collaborating closely with IT personnel to configure, upgrade, and maintain the RMA. As a subject matter expert on the RMA, the consultant will participate in the development and execution of business process improvement efforts. This includes identifying client needs, constructing project plans, assessing current laws and regulations, evaluating risks and benefits, documenting process flows, recommending and designing solutions, and implementing improvements. Day-to-day program activities will involve identifying, documenting, and assessing requirements and risks, interfacing with customers, administering and providing subject matter expertise on records management applications, overseeing records management execution, and ensuring that all work products are completed and reviewed in accordance with established requirements. The consultant will also review and interpret Federal and DoD records management policies, assisting in their implementation at the DoD Component level, and will interact with Component records liaisons on various records program activities. Additionally, the consultant will assist in developing and implementing specific process controls and database management tools for records management, focusing on electronic document management, retention, and disposition. Responsibilities will also include reviewing records to determine classification status and declassification dates, ensuring proper disposition of records consistent with Government-wide policies and procedures, and executing records management program activities such as documenting standard operating procedures, tracking and reporting metrics, and performing systems record entry. Participation in company building activities, including proposal development and contributing to internal initiatives, is also expected.
