The specialist must follow company policies and laws to protect confidentiality and report any issues to the Manager. Keeping the Supervisor updated with necessary information and reporting any customer service issues or potential HIPAA violations is crucial. The specialist will also inform the Supervisor about any work difficulties or special requests and assist with extra tasks when needed. Staying informed about HIPAA regulations and facility policies is essential, as well as using Microsoft Word and Excel for back-end tasks to ensure accurate data entry. Flexibility and professionalism in handling challenging situations are key attributes for this position.
