About The Position
The Recon Estimator is responsible for producing complete, accurate estimates and scopes in Xactimate, supporting supplements, and ensuring a clean handoff to production so projects are executed efficiently and profitably.
Requirements
- Xactimate proficiency
- Estimating experience (restoration/construction)
- Professional communication + strong follow-through
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- IICRC certifications
- Program work experience (TPA/carrier managed)
- DocuSketch or Matterport familiarity
Responsibilities
- Site inspections, moisture/condition observations, measurements and photos
- Create detailed Xactimate estimates and scope narratives
- Identify missing scope items early and reduce re-work
- Manage supplements with proper documentation
- Coordinate with production on sequence, trade needs, and timelines
- Communicate updates to customers and insurance stakeholders
- Maintain organized job files and estimating notes
