About The Position

Davidson Ford of Clay is looking for a Reconditioning/Detail Department Manager! This position is responsible for leading the day to day operations of our Reconditioning department, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency while working collaboratively with the other departments with the common goal of supporting a great customer experience! Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a reconditioning department.
  • Must be process oriented with an attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated team leader with a proven ability to lead.
  • Goal oriented with the ability to follow through.
  • A multi-tasker who can manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships.
  • Empathetic and patient personality.
  • Proficient with technology and navigating various systems.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • A strong sense of integrity.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and lead.
  • A valid Driver’s License is .

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience writing repair orders .
  • Previous experience working with DealerTrack or similar DMS software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the workflow of the reconditioning department and it's staff, including dispatching work.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure the highest quality of service.
  • Open and close repair orders.
  • Work with vendors to properly stock the department of all materials needed to complete daily tasks.
  • Work with the Sales department on coordinating deliveries of vehicles to customers.
  • Work with the Service department on coordinating necessary repairs of vehicles.
  • Work with the Wholesale department to prep vehicles for auction.
  • Picture all vehicles for online viewing.
  • Stay up to date with the current training, products, and services offered by both Sales and Service.
  • Drive efficiency and production of the department and it's team members.
  • Create a training plan for new hires.
  • Ensure proper staffing and coverage for Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
