About The Position

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Reconciliation Analyst I at our Salina, KS location. The Reconciliation Analyst I position provides the key function of balancing core bank general ledger accounts, reviewing expected transactions, and researching to resolution unexpected transactions.

Requirements

• Prior accounting experience.
• Knowledge of journal entry, ledger, debit, and credit.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• High School graduate or equivalent required; accounting or business degree preferred.
• Accounting experience with attention to detail, neatness, and proven ability to research answers and determine plausibility and corrective action.
• 2 years of experience in office setting preferred, previous reconciliation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned reconciliations using the reconciliation system to standard for frequency and accuracy.
• Obtain an understanding of and document underlying processes for assigned reconcilements including, but not limited to, banking transactions (cash, electronic funds, transfers, transaction accounts, CDs, loans), mortgage servicing and loan sale transactions, wealth management transactions, and other clearing accounts necessary to support proper accounting reporting.
• Assist with reconcilement reporting and aged transaction reviews.
• Review, report, and communicate aged outstanding reconciliation items per bank and departmental policy and procedures.
