Summary Picks up feed from the broiler farms by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives a truck to pick up chicken feed from the broiler farms. Loads the feed into the trailer. Weighs the feed. Operates a hydraulic system to load the feed into the trailer. Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Must comply with all DOT and State driver training and documentation requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages and calculate and report hours worked.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have a Class-A CDL Drivers License.
  • Must have no major driving violations and be able to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug test.
