Takes ownership for the resolution of any concerns presented or observed. As a Recertification Clerk you can expect to: Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, welcome and positive emphasis. Ensures guests/visitors abide by existing rules and reports suspicious persons/information to the Community Manager. Takes an active role as part of the Community team, helping with all administrative tasks when necessary. These may include, but are not limited to, filing, copying, mailings, composing and typing confidential/medical material, formatting/ revising existing documents using the computer, compiling and maintaining the monthly calendar and physician/activity sign up sheets, and assisting in the development, administration and coordination of department policies and procedures. Ensures all recertification papers are signed and sent out according to HUD and Tax Credit regulations; verifies receipt of needed information prior to each resident's recertification date; and assists residents with the recertification process as necessary. Assists walk-in applicants with completing the application as needed. Takes the initiative to think of new ideas and processes to help both residents and staff. Assists residents as requested/needed; provides door/mailbox keys, etc. Receives rent payments, enters them into OneSite and prepares deposit. Requirements

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the essential functions of the position can be fully met.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with the disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.
  • Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel, as well as be willing to communicate with residents based at whatever behavior or acuity level they are currently functioning.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred
  • Occupancy certification skills and experience preferred
  • Must possess excellent grammar and communication skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills
