About The Position

The New York City Mayor's Office is responsible for overseeing city services throughout the five boroughs, coordinating public agencies and departments, and managing public property. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three Years of experience in community work or community-centered activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with colleagues and recipients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other relevant office software.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, tracking, and using relevant software.
  • Ability to maintain the privacy and security of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Handling phone calls, emails, and drafting professional correspondence.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized records.
  • Ensuring accurate labeling, sorting, and delivering mail.
  • Tracking packages using FedEx and UPS.
  • Writing service tickets as well as keeping track of them.
  • Handling and distributing MTA MetroCards.
  • Writing property removal passes.
  • Handling issues related to mail delivery or processing.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle urgent or time-sensitive deliveries.
