About The Position
About the unit We care for patients in the Pre-op, Recovery, and Post-Op phase of care. We provide inpatient and outpatient services for a variety of surgical patients including ortho, general surgery, urology, spine, and bariatrics. Our unit is a great place to advance your nursing skills to include critical thinking, time management, assessment, and patient satisfaction. We are a talented team that is very engaged in patient safety, patient satisfaction, and quality. We have multiple opportunities to be involved in unit-based committees including shared governance, retention, and education. Scope of work Responsible for greeting visitors and/or staff and directing them to the appropriate resource , from a position of high visibility. Performs clerical duties to support the area of responsibility. Answers telephone and provides /relays information in a manner consistent with caring, respect, and individual needs. Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner. Performs general clerical duties and completes specials projects as assigned with direction.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- 2 years of relevant experience related experience
