This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and callers while providing administrative and customer service support across multiple departments. You’ll play a key role in daily office operations, ensuring a positive experience for both customers and teammates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, training, and/or education
  • Previous experience handling multi-line phone systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Highly organized and dependable

Responsibilities

  • Answer and route incoming phone calls using a multi‑line phone system.
  • Greet on-site visitors, respond to general inquiries, and direct customers to appropriate team members.
  • Order and manage novelty items for the store, including receipting, charging, displays, and inventory checks.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages.
  • Create, scan, and file paperwork for various departments (sales, service, parts, etc.).
  • Prepare daily and/or weekly cash and check deposits.
  • Deposit checks electronically and transport cash deposits to the bank as needed.
  • Enter customer payments into the system and determine account type (cash or charge).
  • Serve as the primary support partner for administrative and cross‑functional needs, including onboarding coordination, company events, invoice coding, and ordering office supplies.
  • Support company events, including United Way campaigns, customer appreciation events, company picnic, holiday celebrations, and other team activities.
  • Work on special projects and tasks for multiple departments as needed.
  • Works within and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
