About The Position

We are seeking a Receptionist to support the U.S. Air Force Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at Robins Air Force Base (AFB) in Georgia. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers while providing scheduling, administrative, and data entry support that keeps M&FRC services organized, responsive, and accessible to clients. Requirements

  • Basic understanding of military protocol and support group organizations
  • Basic understanding of family systems in a military setting
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Proficiency in applying and troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in customer service
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • U.S. citizenship is required as it supports the U.S. federal government

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone calls and greet visitors at the Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC)
  • Direct clients to the appropriate staff member based on the nature of the visit or call
  • Schedule clients for classes, workshops, and other M&FRC services
  • Provide clear and accurate information on routine programs, services, and procedures
  • Enter and maintain client and program data in the Air Force Family Integrated Results Statistical Tracking (AFFIRST) system and Department of Defense (DoD) Transition Assistance Program (TAP) systems
  • Input Transition Assistance Program data and resources into required web-based applications
  • Send reminder emails to clients before scheduled classes and workshops
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professional front desk area each day
  • Align chairs, materials, publications, and other front desk resources for client use
  • Ensure clients complete sign-in procedures and maintain accurate visitor records
  • Generate monthly client usage and data entry reports in the format required by management
  • Report inoperable equipment and front desk issues to M&FRC management
  • Support awareness of M&FRC programs and services during client interactions
  • Perform clerical and administrative support tasks that keep daily office operations running smoothly
  • Complete data entry tasks accurately and within required turnaround times
