Mid Florida Cancer Centers is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist for their Sanford clinic. This role is crucial as the first point of contact for patients, responsible for providing a welcoming experience and ensuring the operational efficiency of the office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office or clinical setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in payment processing and handling financial transactions.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA practices.
  • Solid understanding of medical office documentation.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to remain organized in a busy, multi-location environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional attitude when assisting patients and collaborating with other departments.
  • Working knowledge of common office computer programs; Word, Excel, Internet.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other office locations for coverage as needed.
  • EMR/medical terminology.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bi-Lingual (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily financial tasks including collecting co-pays, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records of transactions in EMR and payment system.
  • Manage the check-in process, including updating patient information in EMR systems, providing necessary paperwork, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Assist with answering departmental questions, manage multi-line phone systems, and handle various administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Obtain demographic and insurance information on all patients.
  • Obtain copy of patient’s insurance cards and current driver’s license for file and update all other demographics as needed.
  • Support a fast-paced environment by multitasking effectively and providing coverage for other clinic locations (DeLand, Orange City, and Oviedo) as needed.
