About The Position

Spring Gardens Senior Living in Meridian, ID is seeking an exceptional and responsible Receptionist to join their Front Desk team at their beautiful community. This is a full-time position. The receptionist is responsible for facilitating resident and guest enjoyment by providing information and assistance for a wide variety of requests. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced, positive work environment. This role requires a vibrant individual focused on customer service, who genuinely enjoys interacting with seniors, and is responsible, dependable, goal-driven, and an autonomous self-starter with an entrepreneurial passion.

  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills
  • Food handlers, first aide, and CPR certified (Or within first 3 months of employment)
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in a resident’s best interest
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and design program to help design community flyers and events
  • Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following community procedures and guidelines and have the ability to follow through on assigned tasks
  • Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year job related experience preferred in senior living communities
  • Experience with dementia care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Answer telephones, direct calls to appropriate individuals in a timely, clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Effectively manage business center and process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, follow established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
  • Keep front lobby area and front desk clean and organized; etc.
  • Direct emergency personnel to emergency location and be contact person in case of emergency
  • Document in the logbook any significant incidents
  • Maintain visitor sign in/out book, reservation book for guest rooms, and completes maintenance work orders
