Job Summary: Greet and assist all customers and other visitors, determine the nature of their business, and guide to correct destination. Answer the telephone and distribute messages. Requirements

  • Minimum Education:High School Diploma or completion of GED
  • Minimum Experience:One (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong typing skills with PC aptitude ( Microsoft Word/Excel)
  • Strong telephone and customer contact skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with other employees in a team based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, identify and direct customers, clients and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner; alert appropriate party of visitors arrival; arrange for escorts and badges as appropriate; maintain a log of visitors.
  • Operate a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing local and long distance calls; locate employees and/or take appropriate messages; distribute messages in a timely manner; ensure that calls are answered promptly and courteously to assure customer goodwill.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and sorts/distribute incoming correspondence.
  • May train relief receptionists or operators on procedures and operation of telephone equipment.
  • May perform incidental typing and clerical work.
  • Provide general bank information to callers upon request including directions and employees' directory.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
