Receptionist – JLL What this job involves: We're seeking a professional Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of our client's facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In this vital customer-facing position, you'll manage the reception desk operations while ensuring security protocols are followed and creating a positive first impression for every visitor. Your role directly supports JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services by maintaining a professional, organized, and secure environment. As part of our onsite JLL team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to smooth daily operations while developing your administrative capabilities in a dynamic corporate setting. What your day-to-day will look like: Greet, check in, and badge all visitors and contractors while creating and issuing photo ID and access control badges to maintain facility security and access control standards. Answer incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently route them to the appropriate employees, serving as the primary communication hub for the facility. Provide administrative support including conference room scheduling assistance, maintaining updated building contact lists for key JLL personnel, and general clerical duties as assigned. Submit facility-related tickets and building maintenance requests using the Corrigo system, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Maintain and update the Concierge Playbook for the site, keeping current procedures accessible at the reception desk at all times. Collaborate with onsite JLL Facility Management team members to support various assignments and operational needs as they arise. Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and delivering excellent customer service throughout your 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of receptionist or administrative experience in a professional setting.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with visitors, contractors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a positive, problem-solving attitude and capacity to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Physical capability to sit for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed for daily responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with desktop computing platforms (PC) and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Microsoft Teams.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing roles, responsibilities, and working hours, including overtime when business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or college-level coursework in business administration or related field.
  • Professional experience working in an administrative role specifically in a high-volume, busy front desk environment.
  • Familiarity with facility management ticketing systems or work order platforms.
  • Experience with badge creation systems and access control procedures.
  • Prior experience supporting corporate facility operations or working within a corporate campus environment.
