About The Position

A Carter Lumber Receptionist answers all incoming calls and serves as the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and visitors. This role plays an essential part in creating a positive and professional impression of the company from the moment someone walks in or calls. Duties also include: clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning, and faxing. An outgoing personality and strong customer service skills are vital for this position.

  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated and able to work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly answers and directs incoming phone calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, with various deadlines.
  • Greets visitors in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner and alerts proper party regarding their arrival.
  • Assists with clerical duties as needed such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing, etc.
