About The Position

Bishop Spencer Place is Kansas City's premier retirement community and a proud member of the Saint Luke's Health System. We are looking for a customer-focused Receptionist to work on a PRN (as needed) basis (as described below). The Receptionist is the initial positive contact point for resident and visitor encounters. In addition, our Receptionists have the following accountabilities:

Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year

Responsibilities

PRN covering the 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule on an as-needed basis
Meets and greets visitors to the community in a friendly and positive manner.
Answers telephone, determines nature of call and directs caller to appropriate individual or department.
Maintains current listings of resident and staff phone numbers.
Scheduling and dispatching drivers for resident transportation.
Processes maintenance and housekeeping work orders.
Makes photocopies, sends faxes, and performs other administrative duties for residents and department managers.
Processes and distributes incoming mail.
Helps send outgoing mail.
Sells stamps to residents and staff.
Monitors and responds to fire alarm system and weather radio.
Distributes employee lockers and parking tags.
