About The Position

The Receptionist is a key line-level position responsible for all departmental clerical support functions pertaining to the Tribal Member Benefits Department. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. PCI Employees are expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable programs and departmental objectives, as assigned. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six (6) months of related employment experience in a confidential office setting preferred.
  • One (1) year of working in a customer service environment preferred.
  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated proficiency in English, spelling, punctuation, and basic writing skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers with the ability to work in a Windows environment with various software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Skilled in the operation of standard office machinery including, a calculator, copier, facsimile, and other similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Greets the public and directs all phone calls, mail, and clients to the proper staff.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support functions, including preparing, typing, and proofreading a wide variety of correspondence and reports.
  • Keeps a current inventory of department consumable supplies and replenishes stock by requisition as needed.
  • Unpacks, checks, stores, and/or distributes incoming supply orders as directed.
  • Generates and processes necessary purchase orders for the department.
  • Works independently on tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Serves as contact person for copy machine supplies and maintenance.
  • Maintains documents, files, and information for department staff.
  • Maintains a calendar of scheduling for department staff.
  • Logs all incoming and outgoing mail for the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate person.
