About The Position

Receptionist/Switchboard Operator Part Time The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a part time Receptionist/Switchboard Operator to join its team of professionals in Security and Support Services. This position is primarily responsible for operating a multi-line switchboard to direct incoming calls, utilizing internal and external paging systems, and greeting patients, visitors and staff. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills a customer-service attitude.
  • At least two years of experience in a customer-oriented position is required

  • Prior experience working as a switchboard operator a plus
