About The Position

This position is responsible for: Performs a variety of functions necessary for the smooth operation of the Center; Assists in overseeing center operations on a daily basis, including center opening responsibilities. Answers the telephone, retrieves messages, and returns calls. Serves as first point of contact for visitor to the Center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required with additional social services courses preferred, AND Two years experience performing clerical work in a social services environment, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • This position requires a level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Determines client needs and prequalifies, meets needs, or directs them to alternate internal or external resources
  • Participates in special programs and events.
  • Monitors the work of volunteers ensuring available staffing to meet center needs.
  • Performs or processes a variety of routine paperwork.
  • Files and enters data.
