About The Position

Rivendell Behavioral Health Services is an 80-bed full-service behavioral healthcare acute care facility located in Benton, AR, that has been providing quality health care to the residents of Arkansas since 1985. The Receptionist has one of the most important roles in our facility. You are always interacting with patient's, families, referral sources and facility staff members. If you are able to show compassion and respect to all individuals, possess the ability to remain calm in escalated situations and believe in working together with your coworkers is key to success, then we want you to be a part of our team at Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school education or GED.
  • Must have prior switchboard experience.
  • Must be able to type 40 WPM or better.
  • Requires knowledge of general office and phone skills.
  • Excellent organization and written communication skills.
  • Must have legible handwriting.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of Receptionist experience or similar customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and 'Service Excellence' skills.
  • Greet and welcome all guests and respond to their needs.
  • Provide coverage for the switchboard, answering the hospital’s incoming telephone calls and routing them to the appropriate staff.
  • Enforce all Covid protocols that have been put in place for protection of our patients & staff.
  • Distribute initial paperwork to admissions for Assessment Department including Check Sheets.
  • Notify Nursing Dept. of Discharges and check required ID of family member that is picking up the patient.
  • Maintain proper procedure for accepting patient clothing.
  • Coordinate and serve as the gatekeeper for our Visitors during Family Visitations.
  • Complete at least 6 hours of training depending on employee’s level of experience.
