Rivendell Behavioral Health Services is an 80-bed full-service behavioral healthcare acute care facility located in Benton, AR, that has been providing quality health care to the residents of Arkansas since 1985. The Receptionist has one of the most important roles in our facility. You are always interacting with patient's, families, referral sources and facility staff members. Responsibilities

  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and 'Service Excellence' skills.
  • Greeting and welcoming all guests and responding to their needs.
  • Providing coverage for the switchboard which involves answering the hospital's incoming telephone calls and routing them to the appropriate staff.
  • Enforcing all Covid protocols that have been put in place for protection of our patients & staff.
  • Distributing initial paperwork to admissions for Assessment Department including Check Sheets.
  • Notifying Nursing Dept. of Discharges and checking required ID of family member that is picking up the patient.
  • Maintaining proper procedure for accepting patient clothing.
  • Coordinating and serving as the gatekeeper for our Visitors and during Family Visitations.
  • Completing at least 6 hrs. of training depending on employee's level of experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school education or GED.
  • Must have prior switchboard experience.
  • Must be able to type 40 WPM or better.
  • Requires a knowledge of general office and phone skills as well as excellent organization and written communication skills.
  • Must have legible handwriting.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 6 months of Receptionist experience or similar customer service experience.
