About The Position

The Receptionist plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Medical Group. As a receptionist you will be the welcoming face and voice that greets patients with care. Requirements

• Previous medical office/clerical experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous EMR experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly attitude.
• Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route calls appropriately.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule and cancel patient appointments, prepare, and maintain medical records.
• Process transactions and reconcile cash with charges, assist patients with account inquiries and payment arrangements.
• Provide training to new employees and perform other assigned duties.
• Must be willing and able to travel to all locations: Terre Haute, Clay City, Brazil, Riley, Rockville, Clinton and Marshall IL.
