About The Position

The Receptionist Lead is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supporting the medical team with administrative tasks. This role reports onsite to the Center Administrator at the Wildflower Clinic. The position involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the receptionist team, offering training and guidance, and may involve traveling to support multiple centers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of medical reception experience
  • Value-based care model experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
  • Passion about contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences and care
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Team player

Responsibilities

  • Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy.
  • Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly.
  • Collect copay at time of visit (may be included).
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.
  • Assist with multiple administrative tasks.
  • Monitor performance metrics, conduct team huddles, and take on center administration tasks in the absence of the Center Administrator.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the receptionist team, offering training and guidance.
  • Travel to support multiple centers (may be involved).
  • Address and resolve any issues, escalations, or complaints from patients or staff.
  • Be patient facing and run the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
