About The Position

The Receptionist at the Immediate Care Center serves as a crucial link between physicians and patients, ensuring smooth communication and efficient patient flow. This role involves various administrative tasks, including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient information, all while providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required, as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone calls and determine the nature of patient inquiries.
  • Schedule appointments and route calls appropriately.
  • Take messages and pull charts for messages.
  • Greet patients and family members upon arrival.
  • Obtain and update registration and insurance data in the billing system.
  • Facilitate patient flow into the practice.
  • Handle charge entry, referrals, and pre-certifications as needed.
  • Schedule specialist appointments and diagnostic tests.
  • Attend to patients using age-appropriate principles of growth and development.
