  • Greet and direct patients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review electronic medical records for accuracy and completeness of demographic information.
  • Gather required patient demographic information and ensure accurate entry into the computer system.
  • Scan insurance cards and driver's licenses into electronic medical records (EMR) for billing purposes.
  • Collect all applicable co-payments.
  • Ensure cleanliness and order at all reception desks and waiting room areas.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily deposits for secure handling.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled work shifts and notify the team leader if unable to report on time.
  • Use and explain the Health iPASS system to patients and/or responsible parties.
  • Achieve a 95% or better on monthly quality assurance (QA) score after the 90-day training period.
  • Track, inform, and collect on patient balances after the 90-day training period.
  • Update at least 95% of checked-in patients' information after the 90-day training period.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and employee information.
  • High School Diploma or GED recommended.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective verbal communication skills before groups of customers or employees.
  • Mathematical skills for basic calculations.
  • Reasoning skills to apply common sense and understanding to instructions.
  • Vision requirements to adjust focus as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
  • Computer knowledge with experience in basic word processing.
  • General office equipment and procedure knowledge.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
