About The Position

This position is part of the Environmental Justice, Community Engagement, and Environmental Review Division within Region 2 of the EPA. It focuses on supporting programs and outreach efforts related to environmental justice and community involvement. The role requires regular physical attendance at the duty station, although there are work-from-home and flexible scheduling options available. Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• At least one year of specialized experience related to this position, such as assisting with communication or outreach efforts for an organization.
• For GS-07 level: one year of full-time experience equivalent to GS-05 level or one full year of graduate level education in a related field.
• For GS-09 level: one year of full-time experience equivalent to GS-07 level or a master's degree or equivalent graduate education in a related field.

• Experience in evaluating or coordinating communication or outreach efforts.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for programs and outreach efforts by coordinating events and distributing information.
• Research and write materials concerning the nature and purpose of the Agency's programs, projects, and items of concern to the general public.
• Respond to inquiries from the public regarding EPA regulations, programs, and activities.
