Position Summary: The material handler (clamp truck driver) is to ensure that all materials are moved effectively in the plant, unload raw materials and properly stage materials within the facility using a powered fork truck.

Requirements

  • Good organization/project management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to multi-task with ease.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Clamp Truck experience preferred.
  • Candidates must be proficient in English, with the ability to communicate, read, and understand work-related instructions and safety procedures and requirements.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of GPI Forklift Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Unload roll stock trucks and stage in roll stock area.
  • Perform goods receipts on roll stock.
  • Load print WIP for outbound freight.
  • Receive inbound MRO/operating supplies and equipment.
  • Perform trailer inspections.
  • Must have Clamp Truck experience.
  • Deliver roll stock to printing presses and print WIP to cutting equipment.
  • Deliver received items to designated areas throughout the plant.
  • Lapping down and grinding out rolls as needed
  • Complete daily forklift inspection and document inspection results.
  • SAP knowledge to generate and complete Shipping/Receiving documentation, create STO's for interplant shipments, provide monthly material inventories.
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance with SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
