Job Description Level Two: Escalated in responsibility from Level One, Level Two Shipping / Receiving workers verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments. Verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Correctly Picks up and Delivers property to various locations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Intermediate Shipping & Receiving Documentation * Intermediate level operation of forklift, electric pallet jacks, or other material moving devices * Operate all Shipping & Receiving equipment, tools, and computer systems * Verify packaging slips * Load and unload trucks * Perform basic visual inspection of incoming/out coming parts * Complete required receiving documentation * Interaction with other departments via Microsoft Office suite platforms * Suggest safety policies and 6S Cleanliness/Organization * Intermediate shipment schedule interaction and process knowledge * Determine work priority for Level One Shipping & Receiving employees * Prepare loads for pickup * Suggest new Shipping & Receiving / Inventory processes * Monitor and maintain current inventory levels * Perform physical count of inventory * Reconciles actual stock count to computer * Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills: * The ability to read and write English. * Intermediate capabilities with computerized Inventory, Shipping and Receiving systems * Understand and adhere to proper shipping and receiving practices * Understands manufacturing process and how shipping and receiving interacts with upstream/downstream functions * Basic math skills * Intermediate operational skills with forklift/picker * Maintain staging areas, packaging areas, and loading docks in a clean and orderly manner (6S) * Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others * The ability to perform basic shop math with fractions and decimals * Attention to detail * The ability to read and follow work instructions and department processes * Ability to execute tasks within deadlines and timeframes Required Experience: * 2-3 years of recently related or relevant work history or training * Prior knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures Level of Education: * High School diploma or GED is expected Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: N-Never, O-Occasionally (<20%), F-Frequently (20%-80%), C-constantly (>80%) Exposure to Adverse Working Conditions: * Noise, Noxious Orders, Temperatures F * Hazardous Materials N Physical Conditions: * Close Eye Work (computers, typing, reading, writing) F * Sedentary (continuous sitting) O * Light Work (standing, walking, lifting <15 pounds) C * Moderate Work (lifting 15-30 pounds, prolonged use of small hand instruments or tools) F * Moderately Heavy Work (lifting, moving, loading up to 35 pounds) O * Heavy/Hard Work (above average strength & stamina) O Travel Requirements: * None All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
