Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience (2+ yrs) in receiving and logistics.
Strong knowledge of receiving processes, regulations, and documentation.
Proficiency in receiving software and warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate the receiving team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
Receiving Operations: Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, including inspecting goods for quality and accuracy, verifying purchase orders, and managing documentation.
Inventory Management: Ensure accurate recording of received goods into inventory systems, update stock levels, and manage inventory discrepancies.
Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues related to shipments, such as discrepancies or damages.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the receiving process, minimizing delays and errors.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all receiving activities, including shipping documents, inspection reports, and inventory updates.
Reporting: Prepare and analyze reports on receiving performance metrics, including accuracy rates and turnaround times, to identify areas for improvement.
