About The Position

Performs daily inventory ensuring all products needed to be shipped on that day are present and ready for shipment. Informs necessary department when shipment is not present. Provides production planning with daily inventory numbers. Schedules all incoming trucks to Hope’s Cumberland facility daily with the assistance of the shipping clerk(s). Negotiates with outside trucking vendors for shipping rates. Provides the best rate for the Company. Coordinates shipments with Hope’s French and Mexican divisions. Administers shipping paperwork by completing Bill of Materials (BOM’s), production slips, etc. Files paperwork and distributes copies to necessary departments. Reviews and analyzes reports such as sale orders, backlogs, production and inventory movements, scrap/labor variance to determine required changes in operations. Prepares open order report daily. Readies orders for the next day by referring to open order report; preparing shipping paperwork; scheduling with outside vendors as necessary; and notifying Hope departments as necessary. Coordinates activities with the assigned Department in accordance with allocated operating budget. Supervises the unloading of trucks. Ensures subordinate workers store products properly. Unloads trucks as necessary and moves and distributes material throughout the plant. Ensures damaged pieces are noted and reported. Process all discrepancies as they occur; and reports discrepancies to the proper authorities. Fills out paperwork (called receivers) once truck is unloaded. Distributes receivers to production planning at the end of the day. Ensures that raw materials are correctly distributed to the correct departments. Performs data entry. Enters amount received into computer. Checks for verification with purchase order. Ensures non-conformance materials are properly identified, segregated, and disposed. Maintains shipping procedures manual for QS 9000. Performs other duties at or above the same skill level at the discretion of the supervisor. Overall awareness and understanding that Hope Global operates within the EMS 14001 & QMS 16949 management systems
