About The Position

The Receiving Representative has overall responsibility of material receipt, inspection of metal, and distribution. Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the receiving of materials, parts, and supplies. Inspection sheet metal. Prepares and maintains records of materials received. Follow all safety regulations, maintain, and assure compliance to all health and safety standards per industry standards and policies and procedures. Receive, unpack, verify count of products and incoming materials for accuracy from suppliers and update records. Deliver materials to Stockroom or employee who ordered. Receive product from various freight carriers (Inspect for outer damage). Maintain warehouse facility to ensure cleanliness and to keep in an orderly fashion. Conduct periodic inventory of stock items, perform cycle counts and record inventory. Inspect for quality incoming sheet metal materials. Follow all documentation and record keeping procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities when required.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in receiving products preferably from a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer skills using MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook) and ERP System.
  • Working knowledge of receiving department operations, processes, and procedures.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow instruction with minimal supervision.
  • Communication, basic mathematical and organization skills with attention to detail.
