About The Position

The Receiving & Production Lead supports Aged & Cured’s focus on quality, safety, and consistency so our team can create exceptional guest experiences. This full-time, hands-on role is ideal for someone who loves retail food (especially cheese, meats, and gourmet foods), understands basic receiving practices (quantity checks, temperature checks, food safety), and can meet the physical demands of lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally, going up and down steps, standing for most of the shift, and performing the repetitive motions used in cutting and packaging cheese and meat.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

  • Clear, respectful communication and a team-focused mindset.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally, make multiple trips up and down steps, stand for most of the shift, and perform repetitive motions used in cutting and packaging cheese and meat.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all cheese, meat, and specialty food deliveries with care, checking counts, quality, temperatures, and overall condition.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and clearly labeled storage areas, rotating stock using FIFO to protect quality and reduce waste.
  • Support inventory management by communicating shortages, discrepancies, concerns, and low or high-use items to shop leaders.
  • Lead daily production tasks including cutting, wrapping, labeling, portioning, and assembling grab-and-go cheese and meat items.
  • Maintain consistent product presentation that reflects Kitchen Kettle Village standards and supports an inviting guest experience.
  • Assist in training and guiding production team members on techniques, quality expectations, and proper equipment use.
  • Help monitor production schedules so the shop is well-stocked and ready for peak guest times.
  • Follow and model all food safety protocols, including temperature logs, sanitation routines, and removal of product that does not meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly workspace that reflects pride in craft and supports safe, efficient work.
  • Support the team and our guests by communicating clearly and assisting on the sales floor (displays, register, hospitality, and product knowledge) during busy periods.
