About The Position

The Doe Run Company is currently seeking a Receiving Operator to utilize equipment to unload, load, store, and process material and correctly identify and document material for sorting, storage, and processing. This rotating position will be located at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred. Forklift & other mobile equipment qualification. Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training. Experience operating mobile equipment and machinery. Background in industrial operations or similar work experience. Working knowledge of material identification.

Requirements

  • Ability to correctly identify materials.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to follows environmental and safety rules and regulations.
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding shipping documents.
  • Ability to follow proper storage of materials procedures.
  • Ability to follow feed mixing, loading, and unloading procedures.
  • Skilled in basic maintenance, including but not limited to tightening, lubrication, and cleaning.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Forklift & other mobile equipment qualification.
  • Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training.
  • Experience operating mobile equipment and machinery.
  • Background in industrial operations or similar work experience.
  • Working knowledge of material identification.

Responsibilities

  • Correctly identify feed material coming into the plant at the receiving and cable docks and compare materials received against shipping documents for accuracy.
  • Operate mobile and stationary equipment to unload, store, sort, process and identify batteries and feed material.
  • Identify any non-standard material.
  • Operate the drum shredder, pallet shredder, and glass shredder as needed.
  • Move feed material and finished product to proper locations, following loading and storage procedures.
  • Complete paperwork as needed for identifying, weighing, and labeling material.
  • Clean up spills, remove trash, and separate plastic.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean.
  • Inspect and maintain on machinery and mobile equipment; complete daily pre-shift inspection sheets.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
