Keeping track of shipment schedules for both incoming and outgoing shipments, track inventory counts and check the items in inventory for damages or discrepancies. Other duties and responsibilities of the materials coordinator will include.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Materials, Supply Chain, or Operations experience preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred
  • SAP or similar computer software experience preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required

Responsibilities

  • Using SAP, receive and issue daily incoming material, verify accuracy of source documents.
  • Process and prepare appropriate receiving paperwork.
  • Expedite and track hot parts required for assembly lines and component areas.
  • Process Sales returns/document warranty claims.
  • Coordinate receiving schedule working with purchasing and incoming carriers.
  • Trace and expedite delivery of freight shipments when needed.
  • Quality control of all incoming products, record & document damaged freight, verify accurate quantities.
  • Transfer of interplant shipment paperwork with daily reports
  • Assist in backup coverage as needed for other areas in department.
