About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Receiving Manager to oversee the receiving operations of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of products within our organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that all incoming merchandise is handled efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of our operations. The Receiving Manager will work closely with various departments to coordinate inventory needs and resolve any discrepancies that may arise during the receiving process. In this position, you will oversee all aspects of the receiving process, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing products to the appropriate departments. You will ensure accuracy in inventory management and maintain organized records of received goods. Additionally, you will develop and implement efficient receiving procedures to streamline operations, train and supervise receiving staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, and manage vendor relationships to negotiate terms for optimal pricing and service. Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to receiving operations will also be a significant part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as a solid background in training development and sales management.
