About The Position

To drive profitable volume growth, quality market share and maintain 7G Distributing, LLC’s position among Suppliers as a leading distributor. To safely and efficiently perform and control a combination of manual and automated tasks necessary for the receipt, store, transfer, pick, pack, re-pack, loading, shipment of product while maintaining the inventory accuracy and cleanliness of the warehouse. This will in part be accomplished by: Serving as a role model for 7G Distributing, LLC by establishing mutual respect with management and co-workers. The Receiving Manager will lead by example to promote teamwork, cooperation, and enhanced morale. Operating with candor, integrity, and professionalism in all 7G Distributing, LLC interfaces

Requirements

  • Have the ability to lift up to 165 lbs. periodically
  • Have the ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
  • Be able to bend, stoop, push and pull repetitively
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to strict safe working practices, 7G Distributing, LLC policies, rules and regulations
  • Monitor all operations personnel to ensure they are performing their assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Manage staffing to maximize efficiency and productivity, and to keep overtime to a minimum as established in the annual plan
  • Ensure employees abide by all 7G Distributing, LLC policies and procedures
  • Secure the inventory and warehouse at all times
  • Take all possible steps to prevent loss of product through pilferage, damage, or aging
  • Ensure the facility is properly maintained as prescribed by the standards set forth by 7G Distributing, LLC and Suppliers
  • Document, discuss, and take corrective action, if necessary, with day warehouse personnel regarding performance as needed
  • Perform evaluations of direct reports per company policy
  • Make recommendations to the Operations Manager for any changes in procedures that would improve the productivity of operations, or would require employing new types of equipment, processes, or technology
  • Maintain certification to operate all material handling equipment
  • Complete receiving paperwork without errors
  • Will need to be flexible for relief in the event of a co-worker absence and follow 7G policy for current position being filled
  • Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, compactor, baler, walk behind and ride-on scrubbers, tape machine, glue gun, air stapler and shrink wrap machine
  • Perform any special project for the warehouse as directed by management
  • Participate in daily clean-up as well as general maintenance duties assigned by the Operations Manager
  • Participate and be a contributing member in warehouse meetings for the purpose of communication and training
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the LBI system
  • Ensure that warehouse personnel receive adequate training with the VIP LBI system
  • Maintain the LBI systems including, but not limited to, capacities, replenishment quantities, code dates, layouts, labeling, tasks, and accuracy.
