About The Position

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.
• Effective verbal communication skills.

• Experience in inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with retail equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the efficient and accurate receipt of freight.
• Coordinate the receiving process and ensure safe unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks.
• Maintain proper documentation of received goods.
• Lead and coordinate the receiving team for timely and accurate unloading, sorting, and processing of incoming freight.
• Inspect incoming merchandise for damages, discrepancies, and proper labeling.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update the inventory management system regularly.
• Perform daily analysis of negative inventory and propose effective solutions.
• Work closely with purchasing and logistics departments to resolve receiving-related issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.
• Identify and address potential receiving challenges proactively.
• Facilitate store-to-store transfers and UPS transfers efficiently.
• Coordinate backhaul requests and ensure proper wrapping of pallets.
• File all receiving paperwork and fill out Daily Forklift Checklist.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, Telxon gun, and other retail equipment.
• Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to others.
