Requirements

• Forklift operator required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Prior experience working in a big box receiving environment preferred.
• Computer skills preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the receiving department and ensure the receipt and disposition of merchandise and inventory.
• Process paperwork, verify merchandise, compare receipts against purchase orders, and check for damaged products/concealed shortages.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed within the department.
• Lead through change and model leadership competencies.
• Communicate effectively and provide the information teams require to be successful.
• Teach, coach and lead through the club level training process.
• Drive a culture of development, strategic thinking, and ethical decision making.
• Guarantee service excellence through all points of contact.
• Maintain operations of the receiving department, including matching received inventory against purchase orders.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments and ensure all product pricing and signage is displayed.
• Supervise Receivers and/or Receiving Clerk and act as a mentor to team members.
• Complete receiving documents and other daily reports.
• Ensure safety equipment is in proper working condition and that receiving processes are secure.
