About The Position

The Receiving Inspector at Global Engine Maintenance is responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing materials to ensure they meet quality and specification standards. This role involves collaboration with quality control and supply chain management to maintain compliance with maintenance manuals and directives, ensuring the integrity of the jet engine maintenance process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Quantum.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English language.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with other departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a technician and/or inspector in a commercial aircraft environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily deliveries, accept or reject shipments that are not received in satisfactory condition.
  • Separate delivered items by priority and/or department.
  • Open, inspect, check condition, correct documentation and quality of each item and verify items are in accordance with the requirements of the purchase order.
  • Reject and identify all decrepit items, annotate this information in the computer system and place item in bond.
  • Receive all items which are acceptable into the computer system.
  • Monitor outgoing shipments for proper documentation and packing.
  • Perform responsibilities to being authorized to act on behalf of the repair station.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with all maintenance manuals, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Fleet Campaign Directives.
  • Perform inspections on products only for which they have been properly trained and qualified.
  • Inspect aircraft and components during the course of maintenance or modification ensuring all work performed conforms to the technical data.
  • Track and account for Calibrated Tooling including monthly audits and distribution to accountable Managers.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and potential damage to customer or company property is minimized by overseeing aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Inspect work performed by technicians and determine that work is performed in accordance with approved/acceptable data as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
